Our PTA is Committed to Excellent Two-Way Communication
Thank you for visiting our Communications page! Horizon's award-winning PTA is committed to helping all families feel welcome and to be actively involved in our school. We have so many ways to keep you up to date about what's happening at school and with the PTA and we want to hear your voices as well. Here's how you can get connected and stay involved:
Visit the PTA on Facebook!Whether you are a Facebook member or not, you can visit us at facebook.com/HorizonPTA. Facebook members should click our "Like" button and make sure to sign up for our notifications (to do so, click on the box on our cover page that says you already"LIKED" us, and then choose the option in the small drop down box that says "Notifications;" next, a message will appear asking you how often you would like to receive notifications, so make your choice, and then VOILA, you will never again miss one of our posts).

Come to Our Monthly PTA MeetingsWe hope you will join our PTA and come to our monthly meetings. Adults and children are welcome at our meetings and oftentimes we have food drinks and cookies, as well as spirit wear for sale at the meetings. At our meetings we provide updates on current and upcoming PTA events, review the PTA budget, and open the floor for comments, among other matters. Our meetings will usually be the second Monday of most months in our school cafeteria at 6:00pm.

Academic Communication Tools for Parents
Check Your Student's Progress Anytime At "INFORMATIONNOW"

Madison City Schools provides students and parents quick and easy online access to assignments and grades, with its iNow program. You simply use your student's individual log on info (contact your teacher for more info) to access the Web Portal and then the InformationNOW log in page. For step-by-step instructions, visit our iNow page.
View Your Student's Progress at Ren Place
This website helps with both reading and math. It allows parents to track their child’s reading quizzes (AR tests), and to see their child’s reading goal and grade percentage. This website also has a great tool called Math Facts in a Flash, which allows your student to work on math facts from home. The address for this website is long, so we recommend that once you first visit it that you bookmark it. Once you get set up on this site you will see it is a great tool. Just use your child's username and password to log on to [New link coming soon} (If you don't have the username and password, contact your child's teacher). And be sure to bookmark the log on page for easy use!
